The holiday season heats up in Cambridge just as the winter chill seems to deepen. Here are our favorite ways to stay warm and celebrate the holidays in Cambridge.
Step back into a different time (the Italian Renaissance, to be exact) with The Christmas Revels: A Venetian Celebration of the Winter Solstice, from December 8-27 at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre.
St. Paul’s Choir
Listen to festive, holiday music during the concerts at St. Paul’s in Harvard Square. The St. Paul’s Choir will be accompanied by the Back Bay Brass Quintet on December 10th at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $25.
Longfellow Holiday Open House
The Longfellow House, a National Historic Site and one-time headquarters for George Washington, will host an open house for the holidays on December 15 from 4-8 pm. Walk through the home and the festively lit up grounds and listen to harp music in the library. Refreshments will be served in the Carriage House. The event is free to the public.
Get ready to shine—and take in an illuminated Harvard Square—during the most wonderful time of the year. See Harvard Square aglow in holiday lights from December 1-31 as you shop and eat in the neighborhood.
Something Strange: a Music and Burlesque Tribute to The Nightmare Before Christmas
See Tim Burton classic movie in a different light with Something Strange: a Music and Burlesque Tribute to The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Oberon theater. The show will run on November 20 and December 1 and 2. Tickets start at $10.
