During this two-day workshop, students will learn how to create a very textured and unique surface by felting merino wool onto silk fabric. Students will learn the nuno felting technique by learning the basics of felting: shingling, laying out wool, rolling and agitating. Students will spend the first half of the first day making samples to understand how wool acts and how to create texture with wool. During the second half of the day, students will spend individual time with instructor consulting design, color and composition. The execution of the scarf will take place during the second day.
