There’s nothing as nice as knowing you won’t have to stray far from your hotel room (just a few feet, really) to enjoy some of the Cambridge and Boston area’s best food thanks to chef Matthew Gaudet’s Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktails. Gaudet, an inventive chef who has long had a following of fans both locally and nationally, dishes up approachable dishes at Freepoint Kitchen.
Start your day with breakfast at Freepoint Kitchen in the form of Shakshuka with chorizo stewed eggs, tomatoes, and chèvre and the raspberry vanilla buttermilk Dutch baby topped with blueberry sauce and lemon crema. Don’t want to make the walk down to the restaurant or have a business call you’d rather take in your room? You can order breakfast in bed every day from 7-11AM so you can still eat well without leaving your room. The miso green veggie breakfast bowl, filled with poached egg, kale, spinach, quinoa, haloumi, and avocado, travels well and is a vitamin and protein packed way to fill up.
After a day of sightseeing or work meetings, snag a spot in the restaurant for shareable bites like Korean spiced BBQ chicken wing with Gochujang sauce, house roasted pork Cubano with Gruyere, and cheesy artichoke and crab dip with spinach—we won’t judge if you have them all to yourself. The dinner menu was made to pair flawlessly with a cocktail program curated by Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktails’ Beverage Consigliere Alex Howell. The West Bridge alum mixes up classic cocktails like an Aviation and Paper Plane while also having an eight-option Manhattan menu that includes a house version, made with Old Overholt Rye, Cocchi Torino, and Jerry Thomas Bitters.
